Sam studied at The Scottish Massage School and qualified in Sports remedial and Swedish massage and attained the ‘Most Outstanding Student Award’ in her graduating group.
Sam as a keen runner was inspired to complete a qualification in massage when she was training for marathons and found it very useful in reducing her injuries. With a good working knowledge of demands endurance sports put on the body she is a strong believer in the role massage can play in performance enhancement by reducing the risk of injury and improving muscle function.
This being her initial introduction to massage she has gone on to see the benefits in many different groups of people from those sat at a desk or in car get stiff and sore from inactivity to those whose demanding lives leave them exhausted and tired increasing risks to mechanical aches and pains. She works with her clients to meet their needs offering varied options of regular or one-off sessions. Her passion is obvious in her approach and treatments.
Sam is all about the balance. Having completed 4 marathons, regular hill runs, snowboarding and a recent addition of mountain biking she evens this up with a glass of wine and roaring fire and the company of her partner and many friends.
